Pumpkin Patch

Last weekend we traveled to Amarillo for a wedding reception for Jason's cousin.  We had lots of fun getting to visit with family, but the most fun we had was on Sunday when we went to Maxwell's Pumpkin Farm!  It was absolutely the best pumpkin patch we've ever been to.  It had so much to do -- even for adults!

We went with more of Jason's family:  cousin Erica and her family and his Aunt Londa.  This is the boys with Graham in the middle.  He's a cutie!

We started the adventure with feeding the rabbits and goats.  That was fun, and my children actually did it!  Yes, for all those who know they're not very keen on animals, they enjoyed feeding them.

Then there was a big area where they could ride John Deere trikes.  The had a tunnel built with hay that the kids could ride under.  Maybe the only John Deere vehicles my children will ever drive, but who knows!

Then there was a corn maze obstacle course -- very cool and creative, I thought!

Next, they had a trampoline in the ground -- at least that's the best way I know how to describe it.  The kids loved jumping on that.

Next was the "tractor" grand prix, I guess.  Jaxon could go a little faster with Daddy's help.

They had some slides in a big dirt mound -- so neat!  And the slides were fast.  Jaden loved this!

Both Jaden and Jaxon got to take turns shooting corn out of a cannon trying to hit some signs.  Jaden hit at least one and Jaxon hit about three.

Then we went through a corn maze shaped like the state of Texas.  You had to find all 12 checkpoints and punch your card at each checkpoint.  That was lots of fun!  Here are the boys trying to figure out which way to go next.

We also went on a hayride.

Amazingly enough, I didn't even take pictures of everything we did -- they just had so much.  Going to the Pumpkin Patch put us home later than we intended, but it was worth it!  We had lots of fun making some more memories!
