Our Last California Adventure

Thursday, we packed the car so we could head out when we were through and then got to the California Adventure park when it opened to do a few more things.  Jason wanted to ride the California Screamin' roller coaster.  The boys weren't tall enough so I graciously sacrificed a turn on the coaster to stay with them.  :-)

Anyway, we walked straight over to that ride so Jason could be one of the first one's on it, and he was.  He was in the very first car that went that day.  I know this is not a good picture and you probably can't tell what Jason looks like, so let me describe it for you.  He is holding on tight with his mouth wide open and a look of fear on his face.  Right here where this picture is taken is where they count down 5-4-3-2-1 and then blast the car up an incline and the rest is history...
The only problem on this day was that the first car got stuck on that incline.  After a little while of watching to see where the car went, I couldn't find it.  I thought, "now they should already be going on that loop over there by now."  So, we went to look into this part of the ride and there was the car -- stuck!
After about 30 minutes they were able to get everyone off safely but they had to walk down the stairs instead of finish the ride.  The boys were a little concerned but when they could see Daddy walking down the stairs, they were much better.  Jason got to ride it later in the day and he said it was much better the second time when he actually got to finish it.

After we finally got Dad down, we got in line to ride one of the boys favorite rides:  Toy Story Mania!  It was apparently everyone else's favorite, too, because the line was long.  But we waited and waited and waited to ride it one more time before we left.

Next, we had to go watch "Playhouse Disney Live on Stage" again.  Here is Jaxon waiting to get in the door.  He was very excited to get to see this show again!

Jaden's favorite ride at this park (besides Toy Story Mania) was this Mulholland Madness roller coaster.  He got to ride it 3 more times on Thursday (two with me and one with Dad) before we left.

Then, as we were leaving the park about 2:30 p.m. we came up on a High School Musical 3 show, so of course, we had to stay and watch it.

One of the girls in the show came and got Jaden to dance with her.  He acted a bit shy, but I know he loved it!

The other reason we went back on Thursday to this park was to see the Aladdin musical show that wasn't showing any other time while we were there.  We were glad we did.  It was amazing!

We finally got on the road by about 3:30 p.m. and headed to Laughlin, Nevada, for the night.  Disneyland was such a great adventure and we are SO glad we took the boys when they were young so they could enjoy all the characters and shows that they like to watch on TV.

  1. Jaden, you have done a lot of dancing, so you will have to show us all the moves when you get back.

Snyder won baseball, so play Tuesday night in Lubbock, against Andrews, I think. You know how it is when you listen to Sy.
