When Jaden and Jaxon got GeoTrax train stuff for Christmas, our living room was turned into a train station...for many weeks.
But that's not all our living room has been. It's been a baseball field, a wrestling ring, a Little People town, a hockey rink, a car lot, and I'm sure many more things that I can't think of right now.
You might think I'm complaining. I'm not. The reason -- it is called the living room and that's exactly what we do in there. Live! Live by playing. Live by watching TV. Live by reading books and Bible stories. Live by playing games. Live as a family. And I love every minute of that living.
Today the living room has been turned into a sports complex. And I'm sure it will be that way for...a while. :-)
We already had the "Baseball Guys" that you see Jaxon playing with here. Jaden got them for his birthday about 3 years ago from Memaw and Poppa. Can I just say that was one of the best gifts because both boys play with them almost every day. It's just a set of baseball guys, like army men, with a felt baseball field. Their imagination runs wild and it's great fun to sit and watch them "play" a game of baseball.Well, this weekend I got to go on a Girls' Weekend with my mom, sister and sister-in-law. We had so much fun! We shopped until we dropped Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Saturday we went to Canton and took my sister-in-law for her first time. We found some great bargains and did some Christmas shopping and just had a good time.
But during all this shopping, I found some "Football Guys" so I got them for the boys. They had been playing football with the baseball guys, but Jaxon told me last week that it just wasn't right:
Jaxon: Mommy, I'm playing football with the baseball guys and that's not right.
Mommy: It's not. Why?
Jaxon: Because they're baseball guys and they're supposed to be playing baseball, not football. (He said emphatically!) So, I really need some football guys who can play football.
So, needless to say, now the "Baseball Guys" can play baseball and the "Football Guys" can play football. I got to go shopping for a whole weekend. The boys got to spend the weekend with their Daddy. And everyone is happy! I think. :-)

It was a wonderful weekend and I had soooooo much fun with the girls! Bet the guys had fun too!
When I was little, I built cities in my room, and now I build real ones. Guess what your kids are going to be doing when they grow up.
Did anyone notice that all the baseball men are in the "correct" place?????
